Epic Day at Sea!

I was in Miami with all my buddies for my bachelor party, and my experience with Capt. Manny & Billy was one for the record books…literally! We tried multiple fishing techniques & bait throughout the day to attract different species of fish & even sharks. We caught a large kingfish immediately, but had a dry spell for quite some time.

With only 30 minutes remaining on our charter we hooked a large hammerhead shark! With the help and direction of Manny and Billy, it took nearly an hour with 9 people reeling in this monster! Once on board she measured to be 112 inches & roughly 500 lbs! Needless to say, this will go down as one of the best bachelor parties of all time…and one of the most amazing experiences of my life! I highly recommend Capt. Jay’s Deep Sea Fishing! when in Miami!

Memories to last a lifetime!

I could not have scripted a day this perfect, calm sea, light winds, partly sunny and a cool temperature for our 3/4-day charter. Capts Manny and Mark briefed us up and we were on our way, right on time.

Caught 4 bonitas (small tuna) to use as bait and hooked them up. Captain Manny was constantly moving the boat over various shipwrecks to maximize our chances for success, which paid off right away. 10 minutes later we had caught 100 inches of barracuda, one 48 inch and another one 52 inches long, which we released.

Next up was a big wahoo that grabbed another bonita; that one went into the cooler. The last bonita caught a 50-pound Amberjack, which also when into the cooler.

With less than an hour remaining, and 4 trophies caught already, Capt Manny suggested going after a shark. Mark hooked up the rig and down it went. In less than 5 minutes we had something big. 15 minutes of fighting and the catch was nearing the boat. It turned out to be an 8-foot Sandbar shark, which was the whole reason my 18-year-old son wanted to do the charter. After releasing the shark, we motored back in where Mark fileted the fish for us. I cannot express how much fun we had and how perfect the day was. Capts Manny and Mark were pleasant, knowledgeable, funny and gracious hosts. I highly recommend this charter and will be back again.

AMAZING!!!!!

Best fishing trip ever ever. We have done many trips but this is by far the best ever.Capt Manny on day 1 and Capt Jay on day 2 kept putting us on fish. The first mate Mike was just epic and so friendly! They all know their business so well.Keep this going guys. We will be back for more!
